Henry M. Stanley
The Welsh / American explorer who found the lost missionary Doctor Livingstone - "Dr. Livingstone, I presume." - in 1872.

In 1874, Stanley returned to Africa to solve the mystery of the source of the Nile & Congo rivers. In a 999 day trek across Africa he filled in what was then a blank map of the Dark Continent.
I followed Stanley's trail across Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda.
